It's Wedsnesday- August 1st....and a new challenge over at CCC Digi Creations.  The theme for this challenge is Pretty In Pink.  This should be a breeze...I love anything pink...any shade too!  We have a wonderful sponsor- All Dressed Up, and I have used the image Flower Fairy.

She is such a delicate little lady- I actually colored her (except skin) entirely with my Spica glitter pens.  And used some soft pastel pink and purple paper...topping it off with lots of pink bling.

It's a new challenge at Creative Knockouts

It's time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts.  We have a wonderful sponsor this week- Sassy Studio Designs and I have used the image Rapunzel Sassy.  The theme for this challenge is to use dry embossing somewhere on your project.

I used an embossing folder for the pink paper and sanded the embossed image to show the white coloring.  I think this image is gorgeous- she needed to be surrounded by beautiful embellishments!

Cocktail Anne By Art By Miran

I always color with my Copic's.  I have used an older paper line by Bo Bunny called Ad Lib.  I have created a circle easel card and used a fun rick-rack ribbon and some sequins.  My sentiment says "Good Times".... it's always good times with a cocktail in hand.

NEW RELEASE DAY at Karleigh Sue

Patchy Penny's Patchwork Apples by Lacy Sunshine

Hello Crafty Friends,

I wanted to share this adorable card I have made for the Lacy Sunshine Facebook July challenge.  This little cutie is named Patchy Penny's Patchwork Apples- she was offered for FREE to Lacy Sunshine Fabebook followers for 48 hours, but you can also buy her in the shop.

The challenge is stitched or quilted...  My faux stitching is on the right side of the blue paper and also on the pink banners.  I have also used a new technique with the white paper that is always around the colored image- unless you are able to fussy cut it.  My friend suggested chalks to rub on the paper and give some subtle color.  I actually went to the dollar store and found some eyeshadow and have used these...works great.

Bobby Beats by Artbymiran

Hello, Hello-

It's my turn to host the showcase over at the ArtByMiran Blog.  I am using the image named Bobby Beats.  She is a new release from June- and is such a sweetie.  I loved coloring her curly hair.

This weeks theme is COOL colors.  So i am using varying shades of blue and silver.  I used my Copics to color her.  I thought the dress seemed sheer- so I used a lighter shade of blue to highlight that.  I used several paper and embellishments from my stash- including the pretty feathers.  I liked the added texture of the sequins too.

This beauty is called Curvy Mermaid- by SLS lines.  I was pleased with how the blending came out on the fin.  I also wanted to color her hair red- just like Ariel.  My background paper was a lot of- a new technique for me.  I used a stencil and two colors of ink pads.  I also had some bubble embellies in my stash and a starfish charm to top it off.

You know I had to share a patriotic project today!!!  I love anything red, white and blue...So of course, I wanted to use this image- American Beach Babe.  Although...there are so many wonderful images to choose from at the Karleigh Sue ETSY store.

Elf Girl with Mama Cat and Kittens by Aurora Wings

Happy July 1st!!  Time is just whizzing by, don't you agree.  I have a love/hate relationship with summer.  Absolutely adore the water...beach, pool, lake...whatever.  It just feels so nice to float and wade.  But living in Arizona- it is HOT!  This time of year the average daily temp is about 113 or so degrees.  So you can understand the love/ hate thing!!  So let's just say, I am in the craft room more often these days.

 So on to the next CCC Digi Challenge- it is sponsored by the very generous Aurora Wings and the adorable image I chose is Elf Girl w/ Mama Cat & Kittens.

I had a wonderful time creating with pastel colors- my usual go-to colors are bright and bold.  But I thought this image was be perfect with soft and subdued colors.  The challenge theme is- 3 of a kind.  So my 3 of a kind is the flowers and pearls.  And as for my sentiment- I think it is very cute.  However, I do think that adoption is the best way to find your forever kitty- not "buying' per say.  I have 3 furry feline family members- all adopted from charities.
