Umbrella Splash by Sami Stamps

Hello-
We are back from our Holiday break- time for our first challenge
Our theme is- More than one fold.

I wanted to use a mono-chromatic color palette- So I have used varying Copic
markers in the BV, C and W tones. I also used Glossy Accents to give the illusion of water
and rain drops.
A closer view of this adorable image- I also used my new heart corner punch from
Martha Stewart.
A side vie of my easel card.

April's Rain by Artbymiran

Hello Blogger Friends-
I am hosting on the Artbymiran Showcase Blog-
I am sharing April's Rain

I have colored her with my Copic's and added Glossy Accents for the rain/water effect.
The background was colored with BV20 and then I added drops of rubbing
alcohol to give the added texture.
I love adorasble leaf umbrella and froggy rain boots- I am sending this card out
to my BFF.  She is struggling with some health issues and needs a little
"sunshine" in her mailbox.
I have made a step card- since the sentiment is rather large..It helped "stack" the image
without crowding it.

I invite you to visit the Artbymiran challenge BLOG and Facebook page.

Angelica by Artbymiran

Happy Sunday to you!
I am sharing Angelica with you today on the Artbymiran
Showcase blog.

I have colored her with my Copic's and added BG10 to the background.  I used a new tool- the heart corner cutter from Martha Stewart.
A close up view of the image- I really liked the way the reds, pinks and blue green colors
accented each other.  I used some fantastic flowers too.
The organza blue green ribbon with the red bead charm was the final addition! Below is also a side
view of the card, which is a 6x6.

I invite to visit the Facebook Fan page- all the information to play along in the progressive

Fae Fantasy Border by Morgan's Artworld

Hello Friends,
Today is the first day of 2016- how exciting!!
We have a new Anything Goes challenge at CCC Digi Creations
I am sharing Fae Fantasy Border

Such a beautiful image- I have colored her with my Copic's...I love all the bright colors.
The sentiment is very poetic- "She Holds The World In Her Heart"- I think many woman
feel the weight of the world- on their shoulders.
A close up view of this beauty...Since the image is round- I wanted to stay with that
and make a shaped easel card, with lots of color and layers.  The flowers and butterflies are the
finishing touches.

Come on over and join in our challenge!
Amy

Pearl Lotus Syren by Lacy Sunshine

Happy New Year's Eve!!!
Today is the start of a new challenge at
 Challenge: All Things New
I am sharing a NEW TECHNIQUE using
Using my Copic markers- I colored the background.  I wanted to give the illusion of a
sunset and the water...then blended them.  Since Copic's are alcohol based- I used
a some rubbing alcohol from my medicine cabinet and some Q-Tips to "pick up" some
ink.  It is very simple and effective- just dab as much or as little of the tip in the alcohol and dab it
on the paper...play around and see what works for you.
I also added some Glossy accents in the water and the globe in her hand- Love how this effect
looks.  Gives a lot of texture and depth. Another NEW thing on this card is my embossing folder.
